Why buy Asian Vehicles?

The number one reason is reliability. Not all Asian makes and models should be at the top of your next-purchase-possibilities list, but in general, Toyotas, Subarus, Honda and the like tend to be pretty darn solid. Before you purchase any new-to-you vehicle, make sure you do your homework.

Asian vehicles may not be as powerful or hold as well in the turns, but that’s not why you buy them. You buy them because they (typically) last a lot longer, are less likely to break down, and the maintenance and repair costs tend to run a lot cheaper than their European counterparts. It’s not surprising to find an Asian vehicle that easily made it past the 200,000 mile marker and not terribly unusual to find one well past the 300,000. When you take the time to properly care for your Asian vehicle, provide regular maintenance and oil changes, you can hope for a very long life from your car.

Research the heck out of the specific models you’re most interested in owning. Also take the time to research the dealership you’re considering buying from and if you’re buying from an individual, make sure to run a search on the specific VIN to help you avoid buying a car that was recently at the bottom of Lake Petocka.

If it's used you’re most interested in, invest in a comprehensive pre-purchase inspection from a trusted professional auto repair facility like Williamson’s Repair and Tire. This can not only give you some awesome negotiating power, it can also help prevent you from the possibility of buying an outright lemon. If nothing else, it will give you a good idea of what you’re getting yourself into and a look at what repairs need to happen right now versus what’s coming down the road.

Williamson’s Repair & Tire enjoys working on most makes and models of vehicles, and we know value when we see it. There are many reliable makes and models across the board, but we do know that Asian makes tend to lead the pack in the areas of reliability and dependability, especially in the used car market. Regardless of manufacturer of origin, when you need your vehicle repaired or maintained by a team with heart, we invite you to make an appointment with us today. See you soon!
